Disney at Hogwarts: 2/8 by Eira1893 Disney at Hogwarts: 2/8 by Eira1893
Featuring Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip of Sleeping Beauty...and of course a steaming cup o' joe to wake up those sleepy early-morning eyelids.
I'm not a big fan of crossovers of any kind, but for some reason I was just motivated to do this series. It was good practice, anyway, and fun. Might possibly continue the series later with more characters and villains.
Once they're all finished, I'll put up a big "group photo".
Hope you enjoy :) (Smile)

(--I guess I'll sort these under Harry Potter stuff?--)

I WILL be doing a second round of Disney at Hogwarts characters! However, it won't be for a while because I am in the middle of a move and I likely will not have a decent scanner for a while once I'm in my new flat. If anyone would like to suggest some DISNEY CHARACTERS (they MUST be in the DISNEY UNIVERSE and they must already be HUMAN or humanoid--no animals) then please leave a comment either on this page or on one of the pictures comments sections and I will take them into consideration! :)

Sorry about the watermarks, guys. I did these a little late--I didn't think they would get this popular, but so many people have been stealing these :(

2/8: here!

Keep looking for more coming later!

YES. Finally someone else gets that Aurora would be a Ravenclaw! She, Snow and Cindy are ALWAYS immediately brushed off as Hufflepuffs because nobody ever even looks at their personalities. Now Snow probably is a HP, but Cindy is pretty wise and foreseeing and Aurora is philosophical and dreamy, which seems more RC. As for Philip, yeah, definitely Gryffindor.

¿Aurora as a Ravenclaw? That's brilliant. I think this may be my favorite piece of the series - I love how intimate it looks, the blush on Aurora's cheeks... and the scarf wrapping her hair, it seems to be the work Phillip playing around. (Gosh, I love these two) Great work!

Putting Aurora in Ravenclaw was bloody brilliant. You're really fantastic at sorting all the disney characters!!!

Just one thing; Ravenclaw's colours are blue and bronze, not silver. As a huge fan of the books, this kinda ticks me off.
Either way, though, it's a great drawing. And I totally see why Aurora is a Ravenclaw.

Someone who isn't hating on her in Ravenclaw!

I'm aware that bronze is Ravenclaw's secondary colour as I'm also a big fan of the books. What it came down to was that since I was borrowing "real" backgrounds from the films (with a few exceptions), I went with the colours they used there. If I had created my own original backgrounds, I would have used bronze.

Ah. That makes sense. It's just a pet peeve of mine.
Yeah, it makes sense to me about her being in Ravenclaw. She's got a dreamy, philosophical thing to her; in fact, she reminds me of Luna more so than Rapunzel reminds me of Luna. She's also shown to be witty and her song 'I Wonder' is Ravenclaw-ish IMO.

I understand. Sorry for the peeves :( Also, you don't understand how excited I am to hear someone else say that--it's exactly what I've been thinking ever since I started the series. I don't think Rapunzel is anything like Luna. She's really excitable and curious about the world (which is why I sorted her into Ravenclaw), but Luna's pretty much just a lot more mellow on the surface. A lot of people say that Aurora's not smart enough to be in Ravenclaw, but really we saw her for all of, what? Five minutes of screen time? Hardly enough time to determine the intellect and wit of a socially repressed sixteen year old. She's much wittier than most people give her credit for. (And thank you for seeing that!)

This is perfection! I collect Sleeping Beauty merch. (You should see my collection) and she is my favourite of all the princesses and this is the most beautiful art in her honour I've seen in a long time. Beautiful!

Why is Aurora in Ravenclaw though?
Eira1893 Featured By Owner Apr 5, 2014  Student General Artist
I had a lot of trouble placing her. It seemed the only place she fit, to me.
Vinyl-Cinnamon Featured By Owner Apr 5, 2014
I would have put her in Hufflepuff myself; She doesn't show any signs of being particularly bright, her main characteristics is that she's beautiful and sings well. I bet Merryweather would have gifted her intellect is she didn't have try to reverse her imminent death, but alas, the early Disney animations weren't exactly full of round characters.
Either way, your art is gorgeous and I hope you continue to do more of these. :happybounce:

How doesn't she? Unlike most of the girls, she's wise enough to be cautious with Phillip and knows getting to know him better in the safety of her own home is smart. She also is curious about people and wants to see more (you know, the reason Belle's intelligence is vastly overestimated?) and shows a philosophical side during I Wonder. Ravenclaw isn't about being smart at all. Otherwise wouldn't Dumbledore and Hermione and loads of others be in it?

I think people confuse being a nerd or down to earth with being smart, which is probably why they greatly overrate Belle's and Elsa's intelligence while ignoring or dismissing much smarter girls like Cinderella, Aurora, Jasmine and Mulan.
